About Us

Pacific Scents was founded in early 2001 by Marlene.  Throughout her adult life she has had a fond affection for candles.  She was presented a candle making kit by her husband as a gift,  thus beginning a journey to a home-based business. 

Marlene began making candles to relieve the stresses from work and because she wasn't able to find quality candles that burned well and had a nice appearance. After over one year of testing, research and reformulating she found a perfect recipe for candles that encompassed great scent throw, clean burning qualities and a beautiful appearance. She soon began making her candles to give as gifts, as well as donate them to charity auctions.  Within months, friends, and family members were asking to purchase candles and to make them as party favors.   Her venture into bath and body products was by sheer need of finding products that actually contained what was advertised. While trying to find a nice "Cocoa Butter" product she came up blank within the retail realm.  Products advertised as "Cocoa Butter" only contained a very small percentage of it thus she researched and thus created her own cream.

Much encouragement and thought led to the idea of creating a small hand-poured candle and bath business.  Being part Hawaiian,  Marlene is inspired by her heritage and from there, Pacific Scents was created.

Our candles are made of a soy paraffin blend that is exclusive to Pacific Scents. Soy provides our candles and tarts with long and clean burning qualities. Paraffin provides our candles with the highest fragrance load so each candle and tart contains the maximum scent load for any wax product on the market today; this enables our candles to have a very strong scent throw.

Our bath and body products are made from the finest skin loving oils, proteins, vitamins and shea, mango and cocoa butters. Our products will leave your skin feeling soft and supple. We offer products in over 150 scents (an counting!)
